JK-3 General Music teacher
What is your favorite part about your position?
Getting to make music with children every day is such a blessing. Also, I’m one of the few teachers who have the pleasure of getting to know almost all of the students. Watching them grow from JK all the way through 8th grade is a great privilege.
What is your go-to afternoon pick-me-up?
Coffee!
What book is on your nightstand?
I love reading biographies of my favorite musicians. Right now I’m reading about Jimi Hendrix.
What is your favorite Sears tradition?
The 8th grade play. The students grow up together throughout the years and finish their time at Sears with a monumental artistic expression of teamwork and collaboration.
What are some Fun Facts about you?
I’m not ambidextrous. However, there are some things I do right-handed, and other things I do left-handed. Also, I wrote and recorded an album of original music.
What is something that makes Sears special?
The community of Kenilworth has always been so supportive of Sears School.
